" Did one of the children pee on the walk?"
" Don't think so, why"
" Is that a snake? WHAT THE HECK IS THAT? Looks parasitic. Is it going for the kids?"
" You catch it while I go inside and Google...uh...triangular headed worm thingy, okay?"
This did actually net a citation for the critter. Its a Kews Garden Spade Headed Worm and they do not usually eat children. No reports of it, probably because the eaten children couldn't tell the tale. They are reputed to dine on slugs even though they are not French. This warmed me up to the Kews Worm since we have a slug problem in the garden, and worse, on the sidewalk where I walk barefooted too often. Sadly, the Coyote was holding the worm on a popsicle stick to better examine it from all angles and dropped our single worm. Seems that they also explode on impact. One worm covers roughly 60 square feet.

Counterclockwise circles and eye contact
The book says the children will learn to write more easily if they practice counterclockwise circles. So far we get some intense squiggles. I thought making a school-like setting would be fun for them but it didn't work today. I did discover that in addition to making interrogation-worthy eye-contact, the children prefer that I fire directions at them rapidly and nip them along . I will sleep the exhausted sleep of a blue heeler tonight.
They loved chicken tacos with refritos and rice that was so mild I may name the dish Walter Mitty. Sour cream. Lobs of sour cream. And lemon ginger tea. One of two meals that got raves from them this week. What was the other?Thinkthinkthink...chicken and dumplings?? Beef mushrooms and gravy over rice? This domesticity taxes my memory. I'm sure I was a world class multitasker in the years BC. Before Children.

State of the caffeine
No coffee makes me less tired. Go figure. Water, veggies, eggs. Loads of fruit.
Going big with homeschool practice. Can we do it?
As the King of Hearts told Alice, it's logical to start at the beginning. So we started with Genesis and plan to let the rest work out on it's own. Heavens and earth, astronomy and dinosaurs. Really, this isn't a conflict of interest. Plenty of issues in both science and religion have no ready answer. I tell them "I don't know, ask G*d about it" when we get stumped. The children were less than receptive to "circle time" and manically so to " TV newscasts". This means that they suck up as much information as possible so that they can stand behind a big foamcore TV and report everything they remember. Okay, mom can adapt.

Reminder to GF, DF, and no coffee. Blah.
No wheat, no dairy, no coffee. This is supposed to clear any inflamation from my body. Not that I feel particularly inflammable. The problem is that I just keep forgetting that I am avoiding anything until I have a few mouthfuls and then I have to say "MMphit!!". See, this is why I am blogging. Virtual peer-pressure.
On a more successful note, the sibs and I had ten minutes of faux-yoga to jumpstart the day. Dead Bug/ Struggling Bug poses. So glad we are not part of Big Brother.

Finding my core
Gyrokinesis sounds like way more fun than slow, old yoga. Especially when one is surrounded by wildly kinetic children that would be likely to flatten me during the Warrior Pose.
"Search for areas of stress in your body". Let's narrow that down to the top ten, please.
"Breathe with each movement". Good idea since each movement also needs a " Move over" and four "Stop that this instant"s.
"Search for your core, about 2 inches below your navel". Near the latte stain? Okay. There must be more to this
